Highland Marketing renews its support for the Health Tech Awards

Specialist health tech agency sponsors #HealthTechToShoutAbout category for the second year

Highland Marketing is renewing its commitment to the Health Tech Awards by signing up as a lead sponsor for the second year running.

The health tech-focused agency will pick the winner of the #HealthTechToShoutAbout category from all the entries submitted to the industry awards run by the Health Tech Newspaper.

The choice will be made by Highland Marketing’s advisory board, which is independent of its day-to-day operations, and led by industry veteran Jeremy Nettle.

Last year, the judges picked University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as the winner, for its work on My Medical Record, an online service that connects patients and hospital specialists.

The judges argued MyMR shifts power to patients, supports pathway redesign and the creation of new, digitally-enabled ways of working and, critically, could be adopted by other trusts. This year, they will also be looking for projects that benefit the NHS, staff or patients – and have repeatable value.

Susan Venables, co-founder and client services director at Highland Marketing, said: “Last year’s Health Tech Awards attracted some inspiring entries from organisations and individuals who are leaders in their field.

“It was a real pleasure to be able to read them while preparing for the judging of the #HealthTechToShoutAbout category, and to see how much being recognised meant to those involved.

“We knew very early on that we would want to be involved again this year, so we are glad to have been given the opportunity to work with HTN on this year’s awards.”

The Health Tech Newspaper is a rapidly growing website and print-publication that was set up to cover the positive aspects of NHS IT. The Health Tech Awards are in their third year, and have been shaped by input from HTN readers, who are also invited to take part in the judging process.

Jon Wilson, editor, HTN said: “We have worked with Highland Marketing for many years now and, with their depth of knowledge and expertise in healthcare, we are really pleased that the 2020 awards will be supported by them. Highland Marketing, like ourselves, speak with hundreds of people across the health tech industry on a weekly basis and we believe the team are really well placed to support the judging process.”

The awards are being presented in association with CCube Solutions, an award-winning provider of enterprise content management solutions. Entry is open now and will close in early summer.

The awards are purely digital and will be showcased live on social media during an awards evening in the autumn. Visit the awards website and follow the hashtag #HTNAwards for more details.

Susan Venables added: “Highland Marketing was set up to communicate the achievements of health tech vendors and their customers and to recognise the importance of IT to the NHS, its staff and patients. We know the same ambition powers the awards, so we hope to continue to support them as they go from strength to strength.”
